‎"If 400,000,000 Negroes can only get to know thesmelves, to know that in them is a sovereign power, is an authority that is absolute, then in the next twenty-four hours we would have a new race, we would have a nation, an empire, resurrected, not from the will of others to see us rise, but from our own determination to rise, irrespective of what the world thinks."

-Marcus Garvey

Above is a brief video about the work of Marcus Garvey and the UNIA/ ACL. You will get a sense of the man and the work that we wish to further in it's nearly 100 years of existence come this August 2014.
We have been co-opted for a period, but always with,  steadfast fighters for justice and self enpowerment who will never say never. I am proud to calls these my family in the struggle to bring awarness to our local communites around the world.

Even now we wish to extend the call those who got tired for what ever reason, but have a second wind to finish and continue this noble work.  A call for the newly aware who want to share their time and talents and put their shoulders to the wheel. We need each other, and we need to keep this movement alive and moving ever onward. We are the oldest continuous african decentent organization in the world!
So, "Up You Mighty Race! You Can Acccomplish What You Will!.."
